BIONAM 2019 is the 3rd edition of an international conference on bio and nanomaterials, that has taken place in September 2019 on the MSC Cruises Ship.

Selected Papers from the 3rd International Conference on Bio and Nanomaterials, BIONAM 2019, have been published in the Springer book series
"Lecture Notes in Bioengineering".
The present edition had the ambition to renovate the spirit of Wivace and Bionam past editions and to add an extra layer of hybridization. Wivace has taken place the first 3 days (4-6 October 2016) and Bionam the last two days (6-7 October 2016). Therefore, there has been a complete superimposition on October 6th.
This double event allowed researchers active on bioinspired algorithms, the Wivace community, to get together and to get in touch with researchers working on bioinspired materials, the Bionam community, to create a exciting cross-over of disciplines and approaches.

Bionam was first organized in Salerno at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Salerno on October 18, 2013.
The goal of the workshop was to bring together researchers active on nano bioinspired materials.
